There is a strict bag policy in operation, bags can not be larger than an A5 piece of paper, information and expectations below.
We strongly advise supporters not to bring bags of any type into the stadium.
Since November 2017 Scottish Rugby has operated a ‘small bags only’ policy for major events at BT Murrayfield in line with the current national security status.
If you do bring a bag you will need to have it searched.
Our Bag Policy only permits the following bags to be brought into the stadium after they have been searched:
All ticket holders will only be allowed to bring in bags up to A5 size – equivalent to a small clutch bag - measuring 21cmx15cmx8cm.
Bags larger than this will not be allowed into the stadium.
The small bags policy is not in response to any specific threats, rather it is a result of our ongoing management of security which focuses on keeping BT Murrayfield a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone.
The only exceptions to this rule are spectators who require to carry bags for health reasons (including parents with young children who require to carry medical/dietary items).
Spectators who have a requirement to carry bags larger than A5 size for those exceptional reasons should access BT Murrayfield via the hospitality turnstile next to the gatehouse in Roseburn Street or at the hospitality turnstile adjacent to the disabled gate at the north turnstiles.
All bags will be searched before tickets are scanned.
Unless you have health or childcare requirements, please plan ahead and leave your bags at home, in your hotel, in your car, or on the coach. Alternatively, use one of the many bag-drop/left luggage facilities across Edinburgh (web links listed below).
Stasher (21 locations across the city)
Left Baggage (available at Waverley Station or Edinburgh Airport)
Luggage-Point (Edinburgh Airport’s left luggage service)
